If, The cardinal you — The sovereigns is for you

Author: Manav Kothary, law student at the United World School of Law, Karnavati University.

Theme: During the Covid-19 pandemic, CLAT 2020 has witnessed a series of change not only because of the postponement but also the new pattern and faulty technicalities are liable to let the morale of every genuine aspirant to be dashed. This piece of art is written to motivate the students.

Life is impeccable more than anything else.

It scarcely matter which field you opt for either the prosaic doctrine of becoming successful and looking after your liability or showing the so-called DUNIYA that you still have it in you, sometimes for revenge (not physically) other times for proving the words of some distant or near foe (according to you or probably your loved ones but actually they may prima facie appear as what do you call them …? Yes, relative) or once in a blue moon, yourself, wrong.

Thousands and thousands of pages can carry the actual situational words which have become so obvious and we have quaffed it in our veins and it will be a venturesome effort to vent out the ideology from the mulish society. Some of you must be in an area where your quest for freedom left you battered by the storms of persecution and staggered by the winds of your heights. A person saying, “I had chosen this field because I wanted to be a ____.” Here, it is likely that two situations may arise:

  1.       Actually you don’t know what you have to do but you want to, in this circumstance parents order may be music to your ears.
  2.     You are coaxed by them to act in a way they want you to. Here you may see your dreams being dashed and your parents the culprit of the same and think you have been the veteran of creative suffering.

What you must see is their intention, which is not to porcine your life. Some gullible (lacking professional knowledge) is tenderly led by her/his nose which resulted her/his action to be in tune with the social stigma.

Some people are invited or voluntarily step forward to manifest your parents through their perfunctory erudition and dearth of expertise about the stream that one may let her/his child to delve into, or with a profound knowledge but with a reasoning vulnerable to criticism that one, two, and even millions of example does not have the capability to make a generalized statement that a particular individual, who bought laurels in her/his desired field or even if millions have bought laurels in their desired field, so your child can too. They do such a big sin of being an ignoramus that the population of just India is 140 crores as at 2020.

So, (in your dreams kill them) in reality initiate building a wall of trust between you and your parents, who may be the culprit of the trust chasm between you and them , about your capability and sign an Emancipation Proclamation with them

This momentous decree will came as a great beacon light of hope. In the process of gaining your rightful place you must not be guilty of wrongful deeds. You must forever conduct your struggle on the high plane of dignity and discipline. You must not allow your creative protest to degenerate into abusive violence. Again and again you must rise to the majestic heights to substitute the physical force with soul force. I bet, one day their lips will be dripping with the words of interposition and nullification.

To predict the unpredictable career opportunity in the life of a teenager or an adolescent is an imbecilic squander of time, efforts and energy. What matters is just your competence and perseverance which actually determines your fate. Continue to work with the faith that unearned suffering is redemptive.

Ask yourself, if I am in one of the IITs/IIMs/NLUs/Etc elite institutes, but like Chatur Ramaligam or Farhan Qureshi or Raju Rastogi can I ever be happy or rather successful? If the answer is no then discuss it with your parents and convince them. Don’t seek to satisfy your thirst for freedom by drinking from the cup of complacency.

You must make the pledge that you shall march ahead. You cannot turn back.

But remember in the walk of life a push plays a significant (though not necessary) role and that option should never be left unexplored and if you are on the way to explore it then there no time to engage in the luxury of cooling off or to take the tranquilizing drug of gradualism.

Before convicting your parents in the mind’s cell just once delve into their shoes so to actually elucidate their conscience.  Their destiny is tied up with our destiny. And they will come to realize that their freedom is inextricably bound to your freedom. They can never be satisfied as long as you are the victim of the unspeakable horror for your dreams. Until justice rolls down like waters and righteousness like a mighty stream, refuse to believe that the bank of justice is bankrupt, refuse to believe that there are insufficient funds in the great vaults of opportunity.

I want to expound one example of mine: I was a student who scored in his entire journey from class 1 to 10th on an average just in 40’s (lowest 38% – highest 65%) and there would be celebrations in my home even when I got just passing marks in MATHS, whom I woo but she used to give me a cold shoulder till class 12 until I have learned the skills of the subject and look her not from a lover’s but an artist’s point of view.

In a different surrounding in a different approach I have bounced to which could be a (though it didn’t) cause of heart-attack to all those who know me, 90’s in just two years. Undoubtedly a key to success is hard work but a positive mindset, a confident approach, plays a significant role in the result of anything.

Trust me even driving (which is not deemed as a) can be a very good career option provided one is good and slightly less subjectively than objectively in assessment the participant. Can’t one be a driver of PM of India, America, Ambani’s, Bezoz’s, Gate’s, etc?

You have long life where drop-out\ failure, though from social perspective it is, but logically is not just the end and you should be happy not sad for your efforts seeing them who has not tried at all, and let me very clear the drop-out year is an opportunity, which is received only by shining stars.

I have not failed, but found 9,999 ways that don’t work.’ -Edison

Don’t lose hope even if you have lost a battle or a shit dam year or two for any exam or project or anything else, you have nothing to lose (certainly not yourself) just to gain experience and knowledge and become a powerful you from your past.

With this faith you will be able to hew out of the mountain of despair, a stone of hope. With this faith you will be able to transform the jangling discords of the world into a beautiful symphony. A state, sweltering with the heat of injustice, sweltering with the heat of oppression will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice.

With this faith you will be able to work knowing that you will be free one day.

So, let freedom ring from the prodigious hilltops. Let freedom ring from the mighty mountains. And when this happens, it shall come as a joyous daybreak to end the long night of captivity. You will sing in the words of satisfaction:

“Free at last! Free at last! Thank God Almighty, I am free at last!”

There is always a silver lining in the sky, your life, your aspirations, your passion and most importantly you yourself is the one whom your parents and spouse (if any) want, if you will not be present at the stage (surely where your mentors and probably you wanted you to be) then what is the point of getting into any field, any collage, any MNC?  The entrance exam or a present significant project/task or anything important for result, which you are viewing as a mammoth task of your life now, believe me 10 years down the line when you and will be a great ———, even your fair-weather friends who had (probably) left you in lurch, will beg you to take her/his case and claiming to be your best friend forever and then do a brown-study you will realize that:

That was just a tiny dot in my life for which, I don’t know, how I have given the status of ‘#the biggest difficulty’ I could get and when I got through ‘probably the biggest achievement’ that I could achieve throughout my life.

Only then you can laugh and close the albums of retrospection as if it just happened because it was meant to be. The mighty cannot reveal the relishes (you will surely experience someday) now.  You are no special; you will have to go through the pinned path to reach the pining destination, the zenith where your skeptics can’t even see.

As the aforementioned passage stated that generalization is always weakening to the argument but according to me the whole world doesn’t care for you except your parents. For the world you are none, but for your parents you are the whole world and that’s a euphuistic truth which is tough to realize and difficult to imbibe, but it is, whether you agree or not.

One advice I am giving, not groping in the dark but through my worldliness, that when you are in a distorted condition you can’t be calmed down or made feel OK by yourself but you need someone to boost you, no matter whom.

Internal motivation can be aroused through external motivation only, the size, the amount, the substance doesn’t matter what make your conscience shake is nothing but an external philosophy.

I have a dream that one day every valley shall be exhaled, every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plain, and the crooked places will be made straight, and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together.

Inspired from the words ofMartin Luther King’s: ‘I have a dream speech’August 28 1963.
